This very tastefully, sympathetically renovated farmhouse is located in a tranquil valley only a few hundred meters off the road connecting the villages of Torrox and Cómpeta. The latter is only a ten minute drive from the property which has a very good access track from the road. From the terraces and land there are lovely views of the valley and the fertile countryside, with mountains to the east and a glimpse of the Mediterranean to the south. From the main track, metal gates open onto a concrete driveway which, bordered by flowerbeds and trees, sweeps up to ample, gravel covered parking space beside the house; three or four cars could be easily parked here. In front of the house there is open and covered terrace space. From this terrace the main door opens into a pleasant, light filled sitting/dining-room with an old Andalusian fireplace. This nice room is adjoined by an open-plan fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar. From the kitchen an arch provides access to a vestibule off which you have a double bedroom with a wardrobe and french windows opening onto the main terrace. A bathroom, with a handy storage area, is also located off this vestibule which has a door to the parking area and which can be used as a service entrance. Off the dining area there is a second bathroom and a double bedroom with french windows to a side terrace. Another room, just left of the entrance, could be used as a third bedroom. Vegetable plots or large garden areas could be easily established on the land around the house. Many olive trees are thriving on the sunny, south-facing hillside where the house is located. Mains water and mains electricity are connected and central heating has also been installed. Terracotta tiling and wooden ceiling beams contribute to a general ambience of rural charm.

Bjergbyen Cómpeta, absolut den smukkeste by i Axarquia regionen, er beliggende i 636 meters højde over havet ved foden af Sierra Almijara bjergkæden. Byen ligger ca. 18 km. fra kysten - Algarrobo Costa - hvorfor den nemmeste vej er via Algarrobo og Sayalonga. Man kan også køre over Torrox fra kysten. Området i- og omkring byen er meget frugtbart, og der dyrkes mange tropiske frugter, blandt andet dyrkes den velkendte vin ’Vino de Cómpeta’ på de nærliggende vinmarker.
