Traditional Spanish cortijo set in a little over 1000 sq. meters of land laid to numerous fruit trees, including, orange, avocado, medlar, lemon and olive. As you enter the property through the main gates there is a carport and space inside the gates to park 3 cars and space in the driveway outside to park a further 2 cars if needed. An open plan wood staircase leads to an open room in the roof measuring 9 meters by 5, with covered storage along both sides; this room is currently used as a bedroom, with 2 single beds, TV/lounge area and study. Both properties are furnished. The property would lend itself to be used either as a large family property or a home and a second property for holiday letting or B&B to create an income. Ideally situated:- 5 minutes drive from the village of Puntalon which now offers a frequent bus service to and from Motril. 10 minutes drive to the busy market town of Motril, which has many good primary and secondary schools and a busy port, the town also offers a large sports center and swimming pool and numerous private gyms and sports clubs. 50 minutes drive to cosmopolitan Granada and a further 30 minutes to the well known ski resort of the Sierra Nevada. A little over an hour's drive to Malaga and Almeria airports. There are several beaches within a 10 to 15 minute drive of the property together with an 18 hole link golf course running close to Motril beach
Motril is protected by the Sierra de Lújar, is considered the capital of the Tropical Coast, a natural outlet for the products of la Alpujarra and the Valle de Lecrín. It enjoys a mild subtropical climate supporting the growth of sugar cane and tropical fruits, which are grown in the rich and fertile plain that opens up to the Mediterranean. The city has a lively port, lovely beaches with numerous watersports and fishing and golf course.
