The house is of modern construction in its interior and maintains the architectural line of the town in its exterior. The architect devised a house that in turn was comfortable, functional and aesthetic. All rooms face the outside and is very bright. The upper floor has beautiful views of the mountains and the curious bell tower of the town. The back opens onto a typical Mallorcan village garden with old walls. The ground floor consists of a hall that distributes to the staircase, the secondary bathroom and a single room, and takes us to a large room that contains the living room, the dining room and the kitchen. The exterior wall of this room is all glass and from any corner of it you can enjoy continuous views of the garden; it has some bookshelves and pieces of furniture; the kitchen, 6m long, has an island with a wooden surface and all the low furniture to unify the harmony of the room, next to it is the pantry. The staircase goes up uncovered towards the upper floor, where the main bedroom, the study, another bedroom and the main bathroom are located. The master bedroom has a small dressing room and two windows that open onto a terrace from which you can enjoy the whole view of other gardens of old houses, the bell tower of the church and the mountains in the background. The other bedroom enjoys the same views and the palm tree garden. The upper floor acquires a lot of warmth by the sloping ceilings with wooden beams and parquet flooring. The study is open to the staircase and receives a lot of light through the two windows and an upper skylight that covers the entire width of the house. In the garden there is a palm tree, an orange tree and a lemon tree, and it is surrounded by plants in the centenary walls. At the bottom on the left, a pergola with climbing plants provides a charming and cool corner in summer. At the bottom on the right is a storage room and boiler room. The house is built with maximum insulation and thermal resistance; the outer walls are double insulated: by thermo-clay and by air chamber with insulating coating; the exterior carpentry is made of iroco wood, it has hermetic enclosures and climalit glassware. The roof also has reinforced insulation. In winter the house is warm and in summer cool. Binissalem on the island of Mallorca is a small charming village. If you order Mallorcan wine in a restaurant, it will probably come from Binissalem. Viticulture was introduced in this area of Binissalem by the Romans and has survived and been improved in recent many years. The reputation of Binissalem local red wines, made with the local grape Manto Negro, has been growing during the last many years (more than 20 years). Local growers are passionate about their product and are dedicated to raising the profile of Majorcan wine. The very best-known bodega, Jose L Ferrer, is on your right side as you enter the town from Palma. If you are buying the local red wine, remember that crianza is good, reserva even better, but gran reserva is the best. Binissalem hosts a wonderful festival every year in the third week of September, named the Festa d'es Vermar. Plenty of local produce ine the area around Binissalem, and all things wine appear on the streets at this time, including special recipes featuring grapes and wine, and of course, many opportunities to taste the local brew. A feature of this festival is the Grape fight, where locals (and brave visitors) dress up in white clothing and then pelt each other with bunches of grapes.
